LOST LIT believes that no matter how lost you are, you can always find yourself through writing.
July 16, 2020
Dear Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Because of COVID-19, I decided not to
renew the lease on the Lost Lit space in Brooklyn Heights. This pandemic is
not under control, there is no way to predict when it will be safe to gather
in person. It’s not possible to social distance by spacing the chairs 6ft apart
in that tiny space. And it just feels wrong to wear masks while writing. I also
really tried the new Zoom reality. Having just wrapped a 6-week Grief Writing
workshop over Zoom, there’s so much that gets lost by meeting virtually.
So Lost Lit is taking a workshop hiatus for the remainder of 2020. If that
changes, I’ll let you know. The best way to stay in touch is through our our
Newsletter. We’ll see where the world is in December and re-evaluate what
is possible in 2021. In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy and keep
writing when you can or because you need to. And remember, you are already
a writer.
